“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” - Mary Oliver

Can you believe it’s been one full year of Mindful Musings?
27 letters from my heart to yours - full of celebrations, tearful reflections, new beginnings, quiet pauses, and so much growth.

I want to start by saying thank you.
Thank you for showing up.
For being part of this space.
For witnessing me in all my messiness and magic.
And for allowing me to grow and evolve with you.

This community means more to me than you know. As we begin another season of musing together, I want this to feel more like our space - a shared space for connection, conversation, and soul nourishment. If you ever feel a tug on your heart or have a topic you'd like me to write about, please reach out. This is for you just as much as it is for me.

If you have someone in your life you’d like to share these musings with - please share and invite them along for the ride.

Take a look back at the last year of musings below.

This Week's Musing: The Call to Let Go

This musing is for anyone who feels the quiet tug…
That nudge that says: You can’t keep holding on like this.
Maybe it’s time to soften. To release. To trust.

As the trees begin to shed their leaves, we too are invited into the sacred rhythm of letting go - surrendering what no longer serves so something new can take root.

sacred rhythm of letting go

The trees are about to show us just how beautiful it is to let go.

I’ve been reminded over and over again that loosening the grip is often the first courageous step toward something deeper. I thought I had learned that lesson. Turns out, there’s always another layer.

Recently, I was called to surrender - again.
To release an idea of what I thought my coaching business should be.
To pause. To make space. To trust that God’s path for me might look different than what I’d planned.

And if I say I trust... then I must truly trust.
Even when the whispers become roars.
Even when the rejection feels personal.
Even when momentum slows to a crawl.

I’m learning that when something no longer moves, it might just need space.
New breath. New direction.
A holy pause before the next divine nudge.

So here I am - dreaming again.
Letting go of control and holding onto purpose.
I don’t know the “how,” but as one of my mentors lovingly reminds me:

“The hows are none of your business.”

What I do know is this:
I am here to help people feel seen, heard, valued, loved.
I’m here to teach, connect, share my faith and sobriety journey, and remind others they are not alone.

And so… I surrender.
I open.
I listen.
I follow the One who has always guided my steps, even when I couldn’t see the path clearly.

And so…I surrender.

I loosen my grip.

I let go.

I keep dreaming..

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.
— Proverbs 3:5-6

Journal Prompts

If journaling is your thing - simply take a few moments this week to reflect & notice what comes forward for You.

  • What are you being called to release?

  • What are you creating space to receive?

  • How can you show up as the version of you who already has what you deeply desire?

My hope for this next year of musings is simple:
That we continue to support one another.
That we practice presence.
That we celebrate the highs, hold space for the lows, and honor the sacred in all the in-betweens.

Because in the present moment that’s where the whispers are.
That’s where the love notes live.
That’s where the magic happens.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for being you.

Until next time my friend...

With love,
Angie

PS: If you’re local, come say hi October 10th & 11th at Hunt + Gather Market , a popup market featuring over 150 vendors. It’s a weekend full of vintage and antique curators, fine artists, and one of a kind handmade goods. I’ll be there signing copies of my children’s book Song of Friendship and would love to connect in person!
