Break the “fixer” cycle.

You’re not broken, you do not need to be fixed.  (read that again)

Instead, simply begin to notice patterns where you go into “fixer” mode and interrupt the thought, feeling or emotion that’s holding you hostage. The need to fix creates a roadblock to aligning with your authentic self.

I relate to this on so many levels - I believe that the “fixer” part of me is a learned behavior I picked up as a child.

It wasn’t until recently that I was able to gain the clarity and understanding to acknowledge this part of me. I’ve learned to befriend her and understand her desire to want to come in and interrupt everything because I believe she’s trying to protect me. It’s really just a direct signal to my nervous system that something’s wrong - I’m in danger and need protecting, and ultimately my inner dialogue of feeling unworthy, self doubt and fear creep in.

The next time you sense your “fixer” mode roaring in - pause, breathe and reframe the situation.

Give yourself permission to see it through a lens of curiosity and genuine interest.

By doing so, it can immediately open up space for understanding, growth and self compassion. You may even feel a sense of relief and a flow of new energy. This is a great place to start when you’re in the process of tapping into your inner knowing, shifting your mindset & actions to support the desire to feel good!

Enjoy & have fun with the process of transformation by reframing your thoughts and renewing your mind.

The ability to be curious helps build trust in yourself, allowing you to be less reactive with a greater sense of self awareness.

Save this little prayer for the next time you’re in need of a reset.

“I do not need fixing — I am not broken. I feel empowered to look at my life with genuine curiosity. I open myself up to my inner knowing. I trust that my life experiences will guide my growth and healing, leading me to feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the road I have traveled and the abundance I am surrounded by. I am in perfect alignment with all parts of me. I honor those parts and welcome peace & love into my heart & soul.”

If you are related to any or all of this — and feel a curiosity brewing inside you about self discovery, mindfulness, and the deep inner work that supports a life of purpose and freedom. Then I'm excited to share, that's just a small part of the content that’s included in the work I do with my students. If you’re at all curious and seeking more direction about shifting into your most vibrant authentic self, but just not sure where to start — I’d love to connect with you!
