Calm your mind & experience a radical shift in your mindset.

Calm an overactive mind with curiosity & compassion, feel a radical shift to that of clarity & peace.

Do you ever feel like your thoughts are bouncing around like pinballs in your mind? Do you get distracted easily or feel like it's hard to focus?

You are not alone. I can totally relate, which is why I love finding simple, feel-good practices that I can do whenever I’m in need of a reset or to help regulate my emotions.

Check out these three tools to soothe an overactive mind that will help support calmness, quiet confidence and profound peace.

  • Physically move your body - go for a short walk in nature or gently stretch any areas in your body where you feel tension or tightness. This act of movement will naturally interrupt any intrusive thoughts or feelings.

  • Breathe - intentionally bringing awareness to your breath can tell you a lot about how you're feeling.  It gives the mind something to focus on and you get an extra burst of energy.

  • Practice Self-Compassion - notice your tone. Is it rooted in kindness and acceptance or judgment and fear?  Try speaking to yourself the way you would a friend or family member.  Create a meaningful and intentional mantra that feels aligned with who you are and how you want to feel.

Try any of these practices, or a combination, and notice what you gravitate towards.  Tuning into your own personal practice for self growth is a beautiful journey.  Take your time and be present with the process of becoming.

Prayer for an overactive mind

“I love and accept all parts of who I am.  I trust that I am exactly where I am supposed to be.  I feel calm, confident and relaxed.  I am calm, confident and relaxed. “

Tips for calming an overactive mind.

  • Check in “How do I feel in this moment?”

  • Practice Gratitude “What’s one thing I am grateful for?”

  • Physical Movement “Am I moving my body?”

  • Breathe Inhale 4 counts - pause - exhale 6 counts

  • Practice Self-Compassion speak to yourself the way you would a friend or family member.

Give yourself permission to pause, reflect & redirect your energy.

Crack open to the light - this is an opportunity to surrender & release what no longer serves you in order to receive the gift of light.

My hope is that you give yourself permission to open yourself up to the positive effects of how consistently practicing self-awareness can transform your mindset & perspective. Then begin to witness it filter into all areas of your life!

It’s less about doing, doing, doing - but about being. Be present in the doing.
