Fresh ideas to feed your mind, body and soul.
“Mindfulness is a conscious choice made every day to practice self-awareness, curiosity, compassion for self & others, so that you can witness thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and the surrounding environment objectively – through the lens of love.”
— Angie Reens

A Moment in Time
A mindful reflection on doubt, trust, and becoming.
A peaceful moment, a spinning mind, a whisper of doubt... and then, a shift.
In this season of change, I’m learning to meet life on God’s timing, not mine. This post is a gentle reminder that healing isn’t linear, and when we feel caught between who we were and who we’re going, grace is the bridge.
Come take a breath with me - and maybe find your own doorway forward.

The Gift of Gratitude
Lately, I’ve been feeling overwhelmed with gratitude — not the kind that’s loud or performative, but the quiet, soul-deep kind. Gratitude for the life I get to live, the people I get to love, and the joy of fully being myself.
Recently, I had the beautiful opportunity to share Song of Friendship, my children’s book, at a local book signing. What unfolded was more than a reading - it was a celebration of connection, creativity, and community. People showed up busy, beautiful lives in tow to listen, to support, to dream with me. The love in the room was tangible.
As we transition from summer into fall, I’m reflecting on what this season has offered and what I want to carry forward.
Gratitude doesn’t ask for perfection. It asks for presence.
It lives in micro-moments a deep breath, a whispered prayer, a quiet morning ritual.
And when we choose to notice those moments, we begin to shift... gently, powerfully, inwardly.
So I’ll ask you: What are you grateful for right now?
And what small practice might help you stay connected to that?

Coming Home to Love
After stepping away to disconnect, I returned reconnected to love, presence, people, and the little things (like the way your pets greet you at the door).
In this week’s blog, I’m sharing what’s been rising in me lately: a quiet awe for the life I get to live, the people I love, and the deep love that started with learning to see myself the way God sees me without judgment or condition.
I’m calling this next season Hope. Maybe you’re feeling it, too.

Anxiety came back—so I got curious
When Anxiety Returns: What It Came to Teach Me
After a quiet holiday pause, I found myself face-to-face with an old companion: anxiety. In this Mindful Musing, I explore what it means to listen instead of fix, to feel instead of flee. This reflection is an invitation to slow down, stay present, and discover the quiet wisdom anxiety often carries. You’re not alone—and you’re not broken.

When Change Is Coming (But You’re Not Sure What It Means)
“I recently told a friend it feels like swirling. And after a period of exploration, I realized—oh. I know this feeling. It’s my body and spirit preparing me. And while it feels unsteady, there’s something sacred in it too.”
When Change Is Coming (But You’re Not Sure What It Means) is a reflective and vulnerable musing on those in-between moments—when change is near, but clarity is not. Through personal experience, grounding practices, and soulful inquiry, I explore what it means to sit with uncertainty and find strength in faith, community, and self-trust. With journal prompts, a spiritual lens, and heartfelt announcements, this piece invites readers to embrace the sacred swirl of transition.
